Hi,
I'm an exchange student on course "Real-time systems programming".
I heard a rumor (couldn't confirm it myself) that the semestral work needs to be returned before taking the exam. Is this the case?
Yes, this is required by faculty rules (http://www.fel.cvut.cz/cz/rozvoj/studijni-rad.pdf, in Czech, Článek 6, ods. 1) and also explicitely requested by the head of our department.
If it is, would it be possible to take the exam prior to returning the semestral work
No. If you don't have enough time, you can submit just a basic version of the semestral work (e.g. without second motor, web server, documentation, etc.). You will have less points, but you can then take the exam. See https://rtime.felk.cvut.cz/psr/cviceni/semestralka/#motor-control-program-ma... for details. Also note that we plan to organize submission term before each exam, so you will have an opportunity to submit it.
as it would help my schedule with going back to Finland? I would greatly appreciate it.
What is your schedule? Best regards, -Michal Sojka
